Love's disqualification elevated Smith to the winner. It is Smith's first win of the season and his third in his Xfinity career. Parker Retzlaff is now credited with second place. That is his career-best finish in Xfinity.

The checkered flag is out for the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Rockingham Speedway. Jesse Love won the North Carolina Education Lottery 250 on April 19 at Rockingham, earning a victory in overtime,

Sammy Smith, who finished second to Love, was declared the winner. Peterson said Smith’s car went through post-race inspection as well and passed. Smith and his crew chief were still at the track when NASCAR’s ruling was issued. They decided to remain at Rockingham Speedway when they realized there apparently was a problem.
