After a month-long delay due to the wildfires, Los Angeles County volunteers took to the streets Tuesday night for the annual homeless count.

After postponing its 2025 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count due to the January fires, the L.A. Homeless Services Authority kicked off its annual operation Tuesday night.

The count will wrap up Wednesday and Thursday nights with roughly 5,000 volunteers across nearly 150 L.A. County deployment sites, which is like a base camp for each neighborhood.
