A Marin County deputy is being called a “hero” on social media after rescuing a motorist trapped in a car that was rapidly filling with water during this week’s storms, an event caught on the deputy’s body camera and shared by the Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy broke open a window and pulled a woman out of her car moments before it was submerged by rising floodwaters near Point Reyes, body camera video released by the Marin County Sheriff’s Office shows.
