An investigation is underway into a crash involving a Rhode Island State Police cruiser Thursday evening. Police were called to the intersection of Routes 102 and 101 in Scituate around 7:30 p.m. for a trooper-involved crash.

Rhode Island State Police said a cruiser was involved in a crash in Scituate on March 20. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Route 102 and Route 101. Police said that the cruiser was travelling southbound when it hit a car travelling westbound.

A witness is sharing video of the scene shortly after a crash on Interstate 35 that killed five people in Austin last week. Southbound Interstate 85 was brought to a halt Friday morning after a crash involving several cars, Channel 9 confirmed.
