The arrest of Jackson Hopper in October led to six officers from three departments being charged themselves with allegations including assault.

Six Tennessee officers are scheduled to appear in court next week on charges including the use of excessive force while arresting a man suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend at a Memphis-area park and then leading authorities on a three-county chase.

Six West Tennessee officers were indicted on charges such as misconduct and assault, following the forceful 2024 arrest of murder suspect Jackson Hopper.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation officials said the six officers from three different West Tennessee agencies have been booked and released on bond.
