Former Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy won a case against the club on Wednesday for most of over 11 million pounds ($14 million) in wages withheld after he was charged with sexual offences, of which he was later cleared.

A judge has ruled that former Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy is entitled to the majority of his 11-million-pound ($14.15 million) claim for unauthorized deductions from his wages by the club.

Manchester City must pay former player Benjamin Mendy most of the £11 million of wages that he missed out on while accused of sex offences, a tribunal has ruled. The 30-year-old World Cup winner took the club to an employment tribunal over the money he missed out on between 2021 and 2023.
