Less than a year after McDonald’s launched its beverage-focused spin-off restaurant CosMc’s in Texas, the fast food giant is shuttering half of them. McDonald’s announced on Thursday that it is closing three of its six CosMc’s in the Lone Star State,

McDonalds opened its first CosMc in Bolingbrook, IL in December 2023, and later opened six in Texas. It now plans to open two new smaller locations and close three larger ones. The smaller stores allow the company to test new, unique concepts that reflect its customer base.
