Detectives with the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the theft of hundreds of bronze vases stolen from a cemetery in an unincorporated area of Lafayette, the office said Wednesday.

Authorities in the East Bay have launched a grand theft investigation after hundreds of bronze vases were recently stolen from a cemetery.

About 200 bronze vases were stolen from a cemetery in the East Bay, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday. The vases were stolen from Oakland Memorial Park at 2099 Valley Road, which is in unincorporated Lafayette.
