Also held in the suburbs and across the country, the demonstrations are taking aim at the administration's recent actions, including layoffs of federal workers, cuts in funding for social services and removal of protections for transgender people.

Hundreds of "Hands Off" protests were held around the country on Saturday, April 5, including protests in Chicago, dozens of suburbs, and across the state of Illinois.

Saturday's protest came one week after Trump critics confronted U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz at a town hall meeting at Muncie City Hall.

There were protests planned in more than 30 cities across Wisconsin, including Madison and Milwaukee as well as Appleton, Kenosha and Green Bay.
