The second highest was on Valentine’s Day February 14, 1960 where 4.4” of snowfall was recorded. Taking the third top snowfall event in Houston occurred on January 31, 1949 where 3.1” of snow fell in Houston. Here are the rest of the ones on the list.

Areas that will likely see the least amount of snow will be located along the immediate coastline. Snow totals here may get cut down due to mixing issues with sleet and rain. Additionally, temperatures near or just above freezing will compress any snow that does fall, leading to smaller totals.
