Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr announced Thursday that the state had settled its part of a 30-state lawsuit against Kroger related to the opioid crisis.

The settlement includes attorney fees of up to $149 million as part of the arrangement — nearly 11% of the total amount.

Kroger will pay Oregon up to $40 million as part of a $1.37 billion settlement with 30 states for its alleged role in the opioid crisis.

Georgia will receive more than $55 million to expand access to opioid treatment, prevention and recovery services, while South Carolina will get about $18 million.
