Notre Dame senior guard Olivia Miles stole the show in the Fighting Irish's first victory of the season on Tuesday and left her coach Niele Ivey full of praise

Notre Dame's season opener against Mercyhurst was full of storylines. Olivia Miles was in her first meaningful game since the end of the 2022-23 regular season. The Lakers were playing their first game at the NCAA Division I level.

Miles was one of five Notre Dame players to reach double figures. Pittsburgh grad transfer Liatu King led the Irish with 24 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for her first double double in an Irish uniform and the 21st of her career. King had 11 double doubles last season at Pitt.
