Pepsi is planning to debut a brand-new flavor this month, marking its first “permanent” addition to the brand’s beverage portfolio in four years.

The drink, featuring a “burst of sweet cherry” and “creamy vanilla” flavors, will be available in both original and sugar-free varieties, according to the release. It’s set to replace Pepsi Mango, which was introduced in March 2021, Nexstar reported.

The latest permanent Pepsi drinks come just months after Coca-Cola discontinued its cherry vanilla flavor on Sept. 4. The drink company posted the announcement on X that they discontinued Coca-Cola Cherry Vanilla “due to consumers' taste preferences and lifestyles constantly changing.” They also discontinued Diet Coke with Splenda in September.

Pepsi is introducing a brand-new twist on a fan-favorite flavor, and the company stresses its “permanent,” i.e. not just a limited-time offering. On Jan. 20, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream will hit retailers nationwide.
