Organizers are calling for Americans to attend demonstrations across the country to protest President Trump on his 79th birthday.
Nearly 100 people were taken into custody overnight during protests around Lower Manhattan’s Foley Square against the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies, according to the NYPD. A total of 86 people were cuffed.
The Mayor commented on immigration in the city and the right to protest when he was asked about the Los Angeles protests in a June 10 news conference.
