Michigan State basketball picked up what is probably its biggest and most satisfying win of the season when they beat their rivals, Michigan, on the road in Ann Arbor. The win gave the Spartans sole ownership over the No.

Tom Izzo's No. 14 Michigan State Spartans went into halftime down, 34-38, to the No. 12 Michigan Wolverines on the road. The Spartans turned the ball over nine times in the first half and shot 11-for-30 (36%) from the field.

It has been a grind for Michigan State basketball, but the 13th-ranked Spartans know they must be dialed in Friday night when they play at No. 12 U-M.
