The new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has been revealed as the most powerful production car to date. While the looks of this tarmac eating beauty may justify its price alone, the 824bhp under the hood certainly helps too.

While Aston hasn’t released pricing information, company insiders suggest the Volante will be “in the region of $470,000” — that representing a supplement of around $40,000 over the coupe. Which, by the standards of option pricing in this rarefied part of the market, qualifies as a good deal.
