Retired five-time All-Star outfielder Adam Jones is returning to the Baltimore Orioles as a special adviser to general manager Mike Elias as well as a community ambassador.

Born and raised in San Diego, Adam Jones naturally grew up as a fan of the Padres. His 14-year MLB career featured stints with Seattle, Baltimore and Arizona, and his pair of seasons played in Japan came for the Orix Buffaloes of Osaka.

Adam Jones may only be a special advisor for the Baltimore Orioles, but it’s clear he’s ready to make an impact on the franchise where he spent most of his career. Jones will work for general manager Mike Elias and also serve as a community ambassador for the club.
