Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch spoke briefly after the game regarding Connor McDavid’s injury after the star center exited Thursday night’s 4–3 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets. McDavid left the game late in the second period after taking a hit near the ribs from Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey while chasing a puck into the offensive zone.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid suffered a lower-body injury and did not return in the third period of a 4-3 overtime loss to the Western Conference-leading Jets.
