The Toronto Blue Jays kept their January momentum rolling Thursday with another big-name signing. Already this month, the Blue Jays had added two 2024 All-Stars in relief pitcher Jeff Hoffman and outfielder Anthony Santander.

Max Scherzer has a new home. The three-time Cy Young award winner has agreed to a one-year, $15.5 million deal with the Blue Jays, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported Thursday. Scherzer, coming off back surgery heading into 2024, was limited to just nine starts with the Rangers last season after dealing with multiple injuries.

The Toronto Blue Jays have had as poor of luck as any organization in free agency in recent offseasons after narrowly falling short on numerous big-time names the last two winters.
