SAN JOSE -- Leon Draisaitl had an assist before leaving in the second period of the Edmonton Oilers' 3-2 win against the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center on Thursday because of a lower-body injury. Draisaitl was playing in his third game since returning from an undisclosed injury that caused him to miss four games.

Calvin Pickard backstopped Edmonton to a third straight win, as the Oilers gained two big points to keep pace in the Pacific Division race.

Jeff Skinner tipped in the tiebreaking goal late in the second period and the Edmonton Oilers overcame an injury to Leon Draisaitl and beat the San Jose Sharks 3-2 on Thursday night. Skinner scored just a few minutes after Draisaitl went to the locker room with an undisclosed injury.
