A bill in the General Assembly would block tolls on Interstate 95 in North Carolina. But why it's necessary is a mystery.

A woman was struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Kenly Friday night, leading to the closure of all southbound lanes in the area.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation, a contractor for NCDOT was boring underneath Interstate 95 near the U.S. Highway 70 exit, which created a bump on the interstate.
