Hennepin County prosecutors say they’ll seek first-degree murder charges MPR Staff Vance Boelter, the suspect in the targeted shootings of two Democratic Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, is expected to make his first court appearance Monday afternoon.

Boelter was arrested in a field located in a rural part of Sibley County, in southwest Minneapolis, and he was being interviewed at a law enforcement facility, Drew Evans, the superintendent of the state’s Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, said.
