A woman and child listed as missing have been found dead in a vehicle that flipped off the road into a mountain creek, according to investigators in North Carolina. Their identities were being withheld until deputies can notify their family, the Avery County Sheriff’s Office said.

The father of a Florida 4-year-old who was abducted on Sunday was arrested. An Amber alert was issued earlier in the day for Seraphine Gingles and 34-year-old Mary Gingles, who were both last seen in Broward County.
