After being in a tough game against one of the worst teams in the NBA, the New Orleans Pelicans, Boston turned to its best player with the game on the line.

Jaylen Brown scored 28 points and Jayson Tatum added 27, including a tiebreaking jumper with 0.2 seconds left, as the visiting Boston Celtics held off the New Orleans Pelicans 118-116 on Friday night.

The jumper capped off a gritty performance by the Pelicans despite missing three starters (Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Herbert Jones). New Orleans also lost Dejounte Murray to injury in the first quarter but Trey Murphy III made up for his absence with a game-high 40 points including eight made 3s.
