Crews are hard at work as the Table Rock State Park wildfire continued to burn on Monday. The wildfire has burned more than 1,156 acres. So far, 0% of the fire has been contained. The South Carolina Forestry Commission said around 100 crew members have been helping fight the fire.

Swaths of the East Coast — from South Florida through the Carolinas and into New Jersey — are experiencing significant wildfires amid drier-than-normal conditions and before the spring green-up is fully underway.

March 24 (UPI) -- Wildfires have burned thousands of acres in the Carolinas, prompting officials to issue evacuation orders. In North Carolina, three wildfires were burning in Polk County, located south of Asheville along the North Carolina border with South Carolina.
