The Afghan embassy in Islamabad says Pakistan wants to remove all Afghan refugees from the country and they face expulsion in the near future

Afghan refugees are facing arrests and harassment in Pakistan as part of a mass expulsion campaign, Kabul's embassy in Islamabad said on Wednesday, after the U.N.'s refugee agency said hundreds had been expelled from two cities.

The embassy says Afghan nationals face forced relocations in Islamabad amid rising tensions between the neighbours.

The Afghan embassy said its nationals have been subjected to arrests, searches, and police orders to leave Islamabad and Rawalpindi for other parts of Pakistan

The Afghanistan embassy in Pakistan warned that the government wants to remove all Afghan refugees from the capital, Islamabad, and the adjoining city of Rawalpindi, Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday.

Diplomats from Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban reported Wednesday that neighboring Pakistan is implementing a plan for the “imminent” and swift mass deportation of nearly three million Afghan refugees from its territory.

The Afghan embassy in Islamabad has warned that Pakistan is preparing to expel all Afghan refugees, with arrests and forced relocations already underway in the capital and Rawalpindi, according to a report in Associate Press.
