Community efforts are underway to help preserve a historic 75-year-old diesel locomotive from the Bath and Hammondsport Railroad.

The van was severely damaged, while the front of the locomotive was also damaged. No damage to the tracks was reported, but a railroad crossing sign was also damaged.
