Owen Doan is an eighth grader at Spanish Immersion School. He was runner-up at last year's Tri-County Bee and advanced to the Feb. 13 competition.

The three winners will compete at the MAJHAA District Spelling Bee on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. at North County High School.
