Golf legend Tiger Woods has announced that his beloved mother, Kultida Woods, has passed away at the age of 78. Tiger, 49, shared the news of his mother's death in an emotional social media post in which he thanked Kultida for being his "biggest fan and greatest supporter" throughout his career.

However, Kultida never missed an opportunity to support her son both on and off the golf course. She joined her grandkids, Sam Alexis and Charlie Axel, at Tiger's induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2022, and was often seen on the fairway cheering on Tiger and sporting her signature oversized black glasses and visor.

Tiger Woods is mourning the death of his mother, Kultida. Woods shared the sad news in on social media, describing his mother as a “force of nature all her own” with an “undeniable” spirit. “She was quick with the needle and a laugh.

Rory McIlroy reflected on the "delight" he experienced seeing Kultida Woods at golf tournaments over the years and said her death was “surreal."
