The school bus was on its way to Communications High School in Wall, according to a statement from Monmouth County Vocational School District.

A school bus crash on I-195 in the Monmouth County town of Wall Township sent five people to a hospital and shut down the roadway Thursday morning. Police said it appears the bus collided with a GMC van shortly before 7:30 a.m. near Exit 35-B at Atlantic Avenue, but added the cause of the collision remains under investigation.

A school bus was involved in a serious motor vehicle crash in Wall Township on the morning of Thursday, March 27, authorities said. The crash occurred at Route 138 east at Route 34, Wall Township police said.
