In January, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson tore his Achilles for the second time in 12 weeks, leaving his playing status for 2025 looking bleak. The former first-rounder could miss the entire 2025 season, but the team says right now, nothing is definite either way.

Deshaun Watson, Cleveland Brown quarterback’s injury status was recently discussed by the team’s general manager Andrew Berry. On Thursday, Berry spoke to reporters and revealed that Watson has been responding to rehabilitation for his injured Achilles tendon very well.

Cleveland has also made multiple short-term additions to potentially replace Watson in 2025. The Browns acquired former first-round pick Kenny Pickett in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on March 12, sending Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a fifth-round draft choice in return.
