Kevin O'Connell and the Minnesota Vikings decided to move forward with J.J. McCarthy as their quarterback for the upcoming NFL season, passing on the opportunity to sign Aaron Rodgers.

Now with Rodgers heading to the Steelers, Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell gave a little peek behind the conversations with the 41-year-old future Hall of Famer in the offseason.

Early on in the NFL offseason, the Minnesota Vikings were linked quite often to future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While the rumors were there and the team did look into the option, the Vikings chose not to pursue signing him.
