Anthony Davis looked flat-out disturbed as the clock ran out on the Dallas Mavericks' season on Friday night. Davis did everything he could in the NBA play-in loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, putting up 40 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal in his best outing since being traded to the Mavericks in February.

When Davis was drafted No. 1 overall in 2012, he was immediately tasked with replacing Chris Paul, at the time the best player in New Orleans Hornets history. So excited was his new team about his upside that it rushed a rebuild around him that wound up costing him any chance of contending with the organization that drafted him.

The Dallas Mavericks saw their season come to an end on Friday, losing to the Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA play-in tournament's final game despite a strong performance from a hobbled Anthony Davis.
