Mild weather on Christmas Day will bring very few chances of snow across the country. The best spots for a white Christmas with fresh snow will be across the Rocky Mountains. Rain is expected to continue in portions of the South, while the West will get a brief reprieve during the day before another atmospheric river streams inland.

The next few days will see an increase in cloud cover along with unseasonably warm temperatures. Next week will have rain and snow chances, including Christmas Day.

Storm #1 is moving through northern Utah this morning. It has been producing valley rain and mountain snow showers throughout the morning. It's a fast-moving storm, so it will exit the state by afternoon. Then our weather will be quiet for the rest of today and for most of Christmas Eve.
