The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals blasted the FCC's attempts to regulate broadband internet, but state laws in California and New York remain intact.

In a blow against net neutrality, a federal appeals court has struck down the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) attempt to restore certain open internet measures. The court ruled that the FCC doesn’t have the authority to reinstate the rules it wanted to revive.

Many schools fear that without the policy protection internet service providers could slow down the flow of content to schools.
