Ride-hailing vendor Lyft Inc. is expanding its robotaxi portfolio with a range of collaborations with autonomous vehicle ecosystem providers Mobileye, Nexar and May Mobility.

Lyft announced partnerships with software maker Mobileye, May Mobility and Nexar as the company joins its rivals in looking to build out autonomous capabilities.

Lyft's collaboration with Intel-backed Mobileye will enable the rideshare platform to accommodate vehicles equipped with Mobileye's autonomous technology.

Lyft will partner with autonomous vehicle companies Mobileye, May Mobility and Nexar while introducing self-driving taxis in 2025.

The first deal is with Intel Corp.’s Mobileye unit. Under the agreement, Lyft will enable its users to take trips in Mobileye-powered autonomous vehicles. The company is also partnering with May Mobility Inc. and Nexar Ltd., two venture-backed startups that offer autonomous shuttle services and dash cams, respectively.

Lyft Inc. announced three new partnerships with autonomous driving technology vendors, including Intel Corp. spinoff Mobileye Global Inc., as it plays catch-up in offering driverless rides on its platform.

Lyft said on Wednesday it will partner with Mobileye and two other companies in the robotaxi industry to bring self-driving cars onto its ridehail platform and bolster research and development in the sector.
