Police say 20-year-old Ahmed Basheer Awad, of Westbrook, is being held at the Cumberland County Jail on multiple charges, including felony elevated aggravated assault.

There is an update on that man wanted for allegedly shooting someone at a mall in South Portland, Maine on Wednesday.

Law enforcement has started to release more details about what happened at the Maine Mall Wednesday afternoon when one man was shot in a bathroom near the food court and taken to the hospital. South Portland police held a news conference Thursday morning to discuss the investigation.
