Mets’ Mark Vientos day-to-day with groin discomfort after making leaping catch
Mets 3B Mark Vientos left Saturday afternoon’s 3-0 win against the St. Louis Cardinals early due to groin discomfort and is considered day-to-day. Manager Carlos Mendoza spoke after the game and said his third baseman "felt it" after he made a leaping grab on a line drive to start the fourth inning.
The Cardinals retaliated in the top of the third inning after center fielder Victor Scott II singled to lead off the inning.
