Auston Matthews will officially be back in action for the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins. After missing six games to an undisclosed injury, the former Hart Trophy winner will slide back into the Leafs' lineup that's looking to take sole ownership of first place in the Atlantic Division.

TORONTO -- Auston Matthews was activated from injured reserve and returned from an upper-body injury for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Boston Bruins at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday. The center and Maple Leafs captain missed six games after reaggravating the injury Dec. 20 that forced him to miss nine in November.

Auston Matthews is set to return to the Maple Leafs lineup Saturday night against the Boston Bruins after missing the last six games with an undisclosed injury. “It’s exciting,” Matthews said Saturday morning. “It’s never fun watching.”
