India's Tata Motors reported a surprise drop in second-quarter profit and its first revenue decline in 10 quarters on Friday, hurt by weakness in both its luxury vehicles unit, Jaguar Land Rover, and domestic businesses.

MUMBAI: Tata Motors recorded an about 10% decline in its Q2 FY25 profit to Rs 3,450 crore, which was much lower than the Street's estimates of Rs 5,038 crore. Revenue also decreased by 3% to a little over Rs 1 lakh crore.

For the consolidated results, the company in Q2FY25 reported a total income of Rs 103,016 crore, down from Rs 1,06,759 crore in Q2FY24, which marks a decline of approximately 3.5 per cent year-on-year (YoY).
