Pegula has withdrawn from the WTA Finals Riyadh presented by PIF due to a nagging left knee injury. She will be replaced in the Orange Group by the first alternate and World No. 9 Daria Kasatkina.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - American sixth seed Jessica Pegula has withdrawn from the WTA Finals in Riyadh with a left knee injury, the tournament announced on Nov 6. A runner-up at the WTA Finals in 2023, Pegula lost her opening two matches in Saudi Arabia in straight sets and had no chance of advancing to the semi-finals.

World number two Iga Swiatek will play Daria Kasatkina on Thursday in her must-win match to stay in the hunt for a spot in the WTA Finals semi-finals after Jessica Pegula withdrew from the tournament with a knee injury.

Jessica Pegula’s late season rally has ended with the world’s No. 6-ranked player withdrawing from the WTA Finals because of a left knee injury. Pegula, who earlier this year rose to a No. 3 world ranking after reaching the U.

Elena Rybakina finished her 2024 season on a high note by beating world No 1 Aryna Sabalenka in three sets at the 2024 WTA Finals in Riyadh. The world No 5 prevailed 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 against Sabalenka in her third and final round robin match at the year-end championships.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka fell to Elena Rybakina 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in the WTA Finals group stage on Wednesday. Sabalenka hasn't been eliminated from competition yet as she already clinched her group. It was a big upset as Rybakina is coming off two months of a break from tennis.
