Premium AV brand Dolby and US broadcaster Comcast have jointly announced today that the upcoming Super Bowl (LIX for anyone who’s counting) will be available for the first time in the event’s history in both Dolby Atmos surround sound and the premium Dolby Vision high dynamic range video format.

Comcast and Dolby are pairing up to broadcast the Super Bowl with both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for Xfiniti customers.

In another first, Comcast also announced that Xfinity customers can also enjoy this 4K viewing experience with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos through the Xfinity Stream app, which is available on compatible Dolby-enabled streaming devices and TVs.
