Enter the Matrix was absolutely amazing. It had so many live action scenes they filmed just for the game. The plot linked in to the Animatrix and Reloaded. It went into so much depth exploring the secondary characters in the movies. I also really enjoyed the ‘hacking the Matrix’ feature.

Enter the Matrix was as repetitive as most games were in that console generation, but the story helped turn that into less of an issue. Plus killing guys in slow motion took a long time to grow old. Reply reply

Dec 2, 2021 · With all the buzz about the new movie it got me to thinking about Enter the Matrix for PS2 era consoles. I loved that game, though I guess it got a pretty lukewarm reception. I had one very very memorable playthrough of it though. I wanted to see how many enemies I could do a stealth takeout on before I had to get into a fight.

Enter the Matrix had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but at the same time, fell flat on its face. The combat was janky, the guns felt janky, and it felt like the whole game was put together with duct tape. The hacking side of it was pretty cool, but that was a seperate thing in itself (It would've been cool if you had to go into hacking mid mission, like nier).
