New Student Move-In August. New students typically move into the residence halls during a multi-day move-in process. Students are emailed their assigned move-in day when they receive their room assignment in mid-summer. Please see the move-in page for more information.

Housing assignment and roommate information for fall semester will be sent to your Appalachian State University email address in mid-July. The email will also contain move-in information. Spring semester housing information is sent to your Appalachian email address in December.

Fall 2021 Move In. Fall 2021 Move-in is planned for Monday, August 9 through Thursday, August 12 for new first-year and transfer students. Continuing students should plan to arrive to campus August 13 through August 15.
